Mileage Policy

Limited Mileage – 50 miles per day
For excess Km an additional charge of USD 4.25 per mile will apply.

Deposit

A refundable deposit of USD 1500 will be blocked on the customer’s credit card until the end of the rental period.

Cross Border Travel

Crossing country/state borders is not allowed.

In the event that Cross Border and Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity

Shutter services

Shuttle services are available from 8am to 10 pm. To arrange pick up please call the office, normally a bus will pass by every  20-25 min in case you are not able to find it please refer to the email as well.

Toll Service

E-Toll/Sunpass activation fee is USD 19.99 per day (customer will pay tolls at the end of the rental).
Unlimited toll is available for an additional charge of USD 29.99.
If the customer declines Toll pass / E-toll device, a penalty of USD 25 for each toll used in addition to the cost for each unpaid toll will apply.
Personal toll devices are not allowed, if a device taken a violation of USD 500 will be applied.

Driver's Age

Minimum driver’s age requirement is 21 years and the maximum driver’s age is 60 years.
A young driver surcharge will apply for driver’s age from 21 years to 24 years of 24.99 USD per day
A senior driver surcharge will apply for drivers aged from 60 years to 70 years of 24.99 USD per day.

Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.

Driver’s License

Customers must present a full and valid driving license which has been held for a minimum of 3 years before the date of the commencement of the rental and with no major endorsements. A valid ID card or passport must be required at time of pick up.
An International Driver’s License (IDL) is mandatory. International driver license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver.
Physical driving license must be provided at the rental desk.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver’s license and credit card on the main driver’s name.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Insurance Coverage

The following insurance type(s) Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Third Party Liability (TPL) is (are) not included.

Auto Insurance Requirements:

In order to use the renter’s own insurance, he/she must provide proof of TPL and CDW in his/her own name, issued by one of the following companies: State Farm, Liberty Mutual, Geico and All State.

When the client wants to use their own proof of insurance they need to carry CDW, Comprehensive, Liability both property and body injury liability, in case cannot provide all of them, then they need to purchase one at the rental counter.

Insurance must include a minimum USD 300,000 liability coverage and USD 75,000 for Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Coverage for rental vehicles in his/her insurance.

It is mandatory to purchase Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) at the rental desk if liability coverage amount is less.

Renters must provide proof of their own insurance. Acceptable proof of insurance must include the insurance declaration page, Insurance, that is valid for at least 3 months before the pick up date, and the insurance declaration page, that matches with the home address on the driving license.

If using their own insurance, renters must provide an insurance ID card with the exact coverage shown and the same name and address as on the driver license.

Credit Card Insurance Requirements:

If opting to utilize credit card CDW, please note liability is not covered by credit cards and it is mandatory to purchase SLI coverage from the rental counter. In the unlikely event that damage occurs, customers are required to pay MLC for all damages to the vehicle incurred, along with loss of use, and will be able to claim for reimbursement of their costs through the policy purchased from the third party.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI):
This is available for an additional daily charge of 29.99 USD for each rental day. SLI is a secondary insurance product that picks up where primary liability (state statutory limits) leaves off.

If you provide your own insurance, you will be charged an administrative fee of 14.97 USD per day.

If you do not comply with the insurance requirements listed above OR your self-Insurance/Credit card insurance is not from the above mentioned companies, you need to purchase insurance at the rental desk in order to rent the vehicle.

Excess Reduction

In the event of an accident, Extra insurance can be purchased at the time of pickup.

CDW packages start from –  Extra insurance can be purchased at the time of pickup. Insurances offered are Bronze $ 39.99 a day, Silver $49.99 a day Gold  $69,99 a day. Keep in mind mid deposit with the purchase will be lower to $100.

Fees

You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to you plus any administrative expenses.
Toll Service

Breakdown Assistance is available for an additional charge of USD 12.99 per day.
Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be given prior to the
commencement of the hire.

Fuel Policy

You have to return the vehicle with the same fuel amount as it was supplied to you at
the time of pickup. In case of less fuel missing fuel will be charged in addition to a
refueling charge on your return. Unused fuel is not refundable. Fuel charges are
payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated. Supplier’s fuel policies change from
time to time, please confirm at the rental counter.

Additional services

Client may purchase

Baby car seat at the counter for $12.99 a day.

GPS device is available for $9.99 a day

Additional Driver $19.99 a day.

Valeting fee

Smoking is prohibited, in case client smokes or when dropped off the car requires a deep cleaning a $400 valeting fee will be charged

Tax Rate

Tax is included in the rental price. However, for all the optional extras or special
equipment, or extra services, tax would be levied separately.

Payment Methods and Deposit

Only MasterCard and Visa credit cards are accepted. Only cards issued in the main
The driver’s name is accepted.
Supplier does not accept any other payment method than Credit card.

If a debit card or cash is allowed at the rental counter for the security deposit, the purchase of our CDW plan will be mandatory. (This description is for informational purposes only. Please refer to the materials provided at the time of rental for specific policy provisions and exclusions).

Delivery and Collection

Delivery and Collection service is not available.

Out of Hours

Out of hours service is not available.

One Way Drop-Off Charge

A fee of USD 210 will apply for a drop-off to different locations, I.e from Miami to FLL or Doral downtown and vice-versa.

Grace Period

for vehicle pick up:
59 min grace period is free of charge. After the grace period booking will be canceled.
For vehicle return:
Grace period of 1 hour is allowed from the specified drop off time on the voucher.
After the grace period one day extra charge will apply.( rate may change)

Deposit

The deposit is a HOLD and will be released 5-7 business days after drop off, in case there is a parking ticket or violation the time frame will be extended, keep in mind it is a hold and will be automatically released after all the contract is closed and there is no pending violation.

Confirmation of Special Equipment depends upon the availability at the rental desk.

Complaints

All complaints should be made in writing through the Online Contact Form found on mlcrentcars@gmail.com within 30 days from the last day of your rental. Although MLC  tries to resolve all cases brought to our attention, those raised after this period may not be considered. If at any point during the investigation process communication ceases for a period of more than 30 days, the case will be considered closed and no further action will be taken.

General Terms

All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions.

MLC cannot accept liability for any charges incurred on documentation signed for and accepted locally.

MLC will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing willful damage, off road driving or driving without due care and attention.

Booking confirmation vouchers will be issued to the renter via email

 

When comprehensive insurance is taken out it is to provide the renter with entitlement to drive and covers the vehicle in the event of an accident. In the case where the renter is found negligent MLCand its locations reserve the right to pursue the renter for the recovery of all losses incurred.

 

MLCreserves the right to cancel a rental and refuse the service at any time.
